OK Soda can. Art by David Cowles. Here’s what David has to say about his experience with Coke and OK Soda:
"OK" may have been a bit ahead of it’s time. Or maybe people like it now because it died so quickly. My involvement was pretty minimal. They had contacted me after taking an illustration of mine that was in one of the American Illustration books and had already placed it in the layout when they showed it to me. So, basically, all I had to do was say "yes."
(Or maybe he said “OK”)
"I do wish I had been in one of the test cities, though, I would have loved to see all the vending machines and commercials and stuff. A friend of mine has sent me some pictures, which was pretty cool."
Of the art on the can he said, “it was from a cover of a comic/promotional piece I did with some other Rochester, NY illustrators”.
